Fans of the most heavy, fast and unrelenting metal should prepare to hold on for dear life as they are sure to pulverise the crowd with songs such as “Seraphic Punishment” and “Deity Demise”, amongst others, in this 1,000 capacity grimy venue. Butler, PA, blackened death metal up-and-comers Windchimes will join the tour and bring new material from their 2025 EP Enveloping Retribution.

This week we’re introducing you to a band from Fargo, ND, a place not exactly known for its throngs of death metal fans, but apparently that hasn’t done a thing to dampen their spirits! You can see them in action on tracks like “Seraphic Punishment”, “Repulsive Intruder”, “Infatuation”, “In the Jaws of Bereavement”, and “Deity Demise”. They are relatively new to the scene as well but they have come a long way with their latest album In the Jaws of Bereavement (2024). I was really impressed with their sound and it all feels very much in line with the old school style of death metal, while also showing a lot of progression. The band’s first full length, the 2022’s album “Seraphic Punishment” received a ton of praise from the metal community and the band has recently signed with 20 Buck Spin, which is yet another seal of approval from the industry.
FUN FACT: The band, formed in 2017, is doing very well for themselves despite the fact they are from a town not exactly renowned for being a hub of death metal mania.
Windchimes is an experimental band that will take you out of your comfort zone. This band is from Butler, Pennsylvania. They incorporate elements of blackened death metal along with metalcore and post-hardcore to bring you a very interesting kind of atmosphere. Their songs like “10,000 And Counting”, “Poverty Tourism”, “Silk & Gold”, “Unforgivable” and “Nothing New” will surely amaze you with their artistry. As of around 2020, Windchimes has been making a name for themselves in the underground metal scene by experimenting with their unorthodox blend of blackened death metal, metalcore and post-hardcore music. The spoken word sections, the djent riffs and the abundance of other elements mixed into their music make it truly otherworldly and something that you definitely need to listen to.
